SHOPPING CENTRE NEWS: Shape of things to come at City of Arabia: With round-the-clock construction work entering a new phase, the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group, owners of City of Arabia, commissioned a new series of renderings that put the project and its four main elements into perspective.
SHOPPING CENTRE NEWS: Al Qasba undergoes various refurbishment projects in preparation for a busy summer: Al Qasba Development Authority has announced that it is currently undergoing a series of improvement and refurbishment projects that are intended to enhance the destination, facilities and experience for all of its visitors that are expected to rise as the summer season approaches.
SHOPPING CENTRE NEWS: Jumeirah agrees Al Ain deal: Jumeirah has signed a management agreement with Abu Dhabi's Al Farida Investments to manage the Jumeirah Al Ain, a new 5 star luxury hotel located in the heart of Al Ain city. Scheduled to open in 2011, Jumeirah Al Ain will be part of the Al Ain Mall, a distinctive landmark currently under re-development.
SHOPPING CENTRE NEWS: Mohammad orders mosques in malls: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has instructed the setting up of mosques and health clinics in shopping centres to allow shoppers perform prayers.
SHOPPING CENTRE NEWS: Majid Al Futtaim unveils asset management unit: The Majid Al Futtaim Group is offering financial management services to institutional and professional investors with the launch of Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management.
SHOPPING CENTRE NEWS: Dubai's new luxury destination, the Fashion Avenue opens at The Dubai Mall: Adding colour, verve and haute couture appeal to its ongoing shopping and entertainment festival, The Dubai Mall has opened its dedicated Fashion Avenue, a 440,000 square foot area dedicated to high-fashion. Fashion Avenue will be a centrepoint of activities during the Festival @ The Dubai Mall, currently being organised until 29 May 2009.
RETAIL NEWS: Emaar Properties to create 1,600 jobs: Emaar Properties has confirmed it is creating 1,600 new jobs in its shopping malls & retail and hospitality & leisure businesses. With the new additions it will eventually have nearly 4,000 employees on its payroll in Dubai.
